Twig is designed with privacy in mind. Your learning content stays on your device. We do not collect, upload, or analyze your imported media files, subtitle files, or personal vocabulary data.

Information We Collect

• Account information: If you create an account, we collect your email address and name.
• Support requests: When you contact us, we collect your email address and any information you choose to share.
• Feedback: Any information you voluntarily submit through feedback forms or surveys.

Information Collected Automatically

• Usage data: Anonymous data about how you interact with the app (e.g., features used, session duration). This helps us improve Twig.
• Device information: Device model, operating system version, and app version for troubleshooting purposes.
• Crash reports: If the app crashes, we may receive anonymous crash logs to help identify and fix issues.

Information We Do NOT Collect

• Your imported audio, video, or subtitle files
• Your vocabulary lists or word bank contents
• Your playback history or content viewing behavior
• Any content you add to the app

We use the limited information we collect to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve Twig

• Fix bugs and improve app stability
• Send essential service updates (if you have an account)

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their marketing purposes.

Data Storage

• Local storage: Your media files, subtitle files, vocabulary data, and learning progress are stored locally on your device. We do not have access to this data.
• Cloud storage: If you choose to create an account for syncing across devices, your vocabulary data is encrypted and stored securely. You can delete your account and associated data at any time.

Third-Party Services

Twig uses third-party services to provide certain app features.

• AI Translation: When you use the translation feature, the text you choose to translate is sent to our third-party AI service provider(Google Gemini, Groq, ModelScope), for the purpose of generating translations.
• Data sent: The following data may be transmitted:
  • Text selected or entered for translation
  • Language settings required for translation
• Data usage: The data is used only to provide translation results. We do not use this content for advertising or sell your data.
• Data retention: Translation requests are processed in real time and are not stored by Twig.

AI Translation Permission

Before sending any text to our AI service provider, Twig will ask for your permission. You can choose whether to allow AI translation features.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access and update your account information
• Delete your account and all associated data
• Opt out of anonymous analytics collection (via app settings)
• Request a copy of any personal data we hold about you
